Single malt, blended malt, single grain, blended grain, blends, whisky liqueurs, Scottish, Welsh, Irish, American, Canadian, Swedish, Dutch, Indian, Kiwi and Japanses so far, with more to follow. On the beer front we have rotating guest ales on hanpull and in bottles, hard-to-find German Weisse, Dunkel and bocks, and whisky cak aged ales. A short food menu is available from open to shut to keep you fuelled, and tastings happen throughout the year, at least once a month.

So as the public guidance has changed slightly so too has our in house policy.

As of today, Monday 14th September, you will only be able to book a table for a maximum of 6 people from a maximum of 2 households.
You will be asked to provide this information at the time of booking.

This also applies to walk in customers.

Customers will also be required to wear a face covering when entering/ exiting and moving around the bar.

We appreciate your cooperation during these difficult times.

Thanks.

NEW WHISKIES!

From the SW of Glasvegas, the top team at Glasgow Distillery Company have delivered two new drams. The first is the first release of the Triple Distilled version of their signature single malt. Also fully matured in virgin oak, the vanillins are running riot with this one.

Then a wee surprise; Malt Riot. Named for the time the government first taxed barley, and therefore whisky and beer, for the first time, and the...

gentle disagreement

...the people of Glasgow had to that.🤬

This is a blended malt with a backbone of Glasgow 1770, and to recompense for the injustice of taxing our daily drams, at a very reasonable price. Both on the bar now. I predict a riot...

New Beer. Kinda...

We now have in the fridge New Millennium cans, thanks to the fine people at Born in the Borders. You may wonder how a brewery founded in 2011 can have a beer celebrating the new millennium? Well it's a celebration of their first 1,000 brews. We've had this in on cask before, so we're very happy to have this chance to try it in a different format.

Thanks to the team in Lanton Mill, glad to have you back on the bar! 🙂

Fresh in straight from those wonderful chaps and chapesses at North Star Spirits, we present:

CHAOS.

Matured in PX and bourbon casks, bottled at a healthy 50% ABV, we don't see this specific bottle having a long time on the bar. So we'd suggest a swift trip to Hope st before entropy trumps chaos and it becomes one with all if us again.

Thanks to the North Star team. It's good to be back and to have you back as well. See you next time you're on the lash. 😗 FJM
