Q – How much should I spend?
A – Our Whisky Tastings start at £50 per person. If you would like to increase the budget that will allow us to include samples from our older more exclusive stock.
Q – Do I get to choose which whiskies I want to try?
A – You can if you would like but what we specialise in is finding you whiskies you may not have tried before. We prefer if you give us some styles, regions or flavours of whisky that you enjoy and we can find whiskies from our vast selection that suit your needs.
Q – How long will the tasting last?
A – We ask that allow at least 1.5hrs for a tasting for groups of 1- 6. For larger groups it can usually take around 2hrs. The time frame also depends on how many samples you are trying.
Q – What days & times can I book for?
A – Our tastings can be booked any time or day with the exception of Friday & Saturdays which our only available time slots are 12pm or 2pm. During December and Celtic Connections in January we do not take tasting bookings at the weekends at all. Please also note that at other times of the year when different events are on in the city tasting times may be restricted.
Q – If I buy a whisky tasting voucher how long is it valid for?
A – Our Whisky Tasting vouchers are valid for 12 months.
Q – Can I sit with my partner during a tasting if I am not partaking?
A – Yes absolutely you can sit in with the tasting even if you don’t want to try whisky. You are more than welcome to order drinks from the bar and listen in.
Q – Can we have lunch before or after our tasting?
A – Yes absolutely please let us know you would like to eat as well and we can book your table accordingly. Please note this only applies to afternoon bookings as the kitchen closes at 4.45pm.
Q – What can we expect from our tasting?
A – A member of our expertly trained staff will be assigned to your tasting experience. They will select your drams and sit with you at your table, guiding you through your selection and answering any questions you may have.
Q – Can we be refused when we arrive for our tasting?
A – Yes. Our staff reserve the right to refuse anyone from the bar or a tasting experience if they see fit. No refund will be offered if refused.
Q – What if we are running late for our tasting?
A – If you are running late please just call the bar on 01413330980 and let us know and we will let you know if we are able to keep your tables for you or if we need to reschedule.
